A familiar downtown Warrenton building is preparing for another chapter.

When Six Point Manor appeared on the September 15 Board of Aldermen agenda seeking a liquor-by-the-drink license, it raised a familiar question for residents who have watched several businesses come and go from the downtown location: What is coming to the building next?

Warren County Citizens for Responsible Development (WCCRD) reached out to the business owners to learn more about their plans, and what we discovered is a concept quite different from the restaurants and bars that have previously occupied the space.

Amanda Alan and her husband, Eric, whom many know as Rocky, are transforming the property into a versatile event and gathering venue designed to accommodate private celebrations, community organizations, and occasional public events.

Their vision goes beyond opening another business downtown. They hope to create a “third-space” place where people have more opportunities to gather, celebrate, and spend time in Warrenton’s historic downtown district.

A Space for Celebrations, Community, and Local Businesses

Six Point Manor is being designed to accommodate a variety of gatherings, including baby and bridal showers, birthday and anniversary celebrations, smaller receptions, corporate functions, community meetings, nonprofit events, and holiday experiences.

The owners also envision occasionally hosting public events, pop-up businesses, and live entertainment that complement the activities already taking place downtown.

Rather than operating as a traditional restaurant or full-time bar, Six Point Manor will primarily function as an event and rental venue. The liquor-by-the-drink application appearing before the Board of Aldermen is part of that plan. According to Amanda, the business is pursuing a beer-and-wine license so those beverages can be offered during approved public events and private gatherings.

The owners do not intend to operate a full-service restaurant. Instead, they hope to collaborate with local caterers, food vendors, and pop-up businesses to provide food and other services for events. That approach could create opportunities for existing Warren County businesses to participate in the venue’s activities without Six Point Manor needing to operate its own commercial restaurant.

Regular business hours have not yet been finalized, as the venue’s schedule will largely depend on bookings, rentals, and planned events.

A Phased Approach to Restoring the Building

The owners have plans for more than the main event space.

Amanda explained that the building’s upper level will eventually provide additional meeting space for local organizations. Later phases of the project are expected to include short-term accommodations for guests and event hosts.

The business is taking a phased approach to opening, allowing the owners to renovate different areas of the building while preserving its existing character. Renovations and accessibility improvements are part of the work currently underway, with the owners anticipating a phased opening throughout the fall.

The building’s character was a significant factor in their decision to establish Six Point Manor at this particular location.

“We chose 209 E. Booneslick because we fell in love with the character of the building, the patio and its location in the historic downtown district,” Amanda shared.

The couple saw an opportunity to create a space where residents could celebrate important moments, local organizations could gather, and visitors would have another reason to spend time in downtown Warrenton.

For a property that has experienced several changes in business occupancy over the years, the new concept represents a different approach to utilizing the building.

The Family Behind Six Point Manor

The name Six Point Manor has a personal meaning for its owners.

Amanda and Rocky are parents of six children, and their family inspired both the business’s name and the six-point crown featured in its logo.

The couple also owns Allied Painting Contractors, bringing their experience as business owners and their understanding of property improvement to the project. The owners also described the investment of time, patience, and work involved in restoring a building and developing a business intended to last.

Community involvement is an important part of their plans.

They hope Six Point Manor will become a welcoming location for local organizations, private celebrations, and community events, while contributing to the activity already taking place downtown.

“We want Six Point Manor to add to the energy already growing in Warrenton while respecting the history and personality of the area,” Amanda explained.

What Comes Next for Six Point Manor?

The business’s appearance on the September 15 Board of Aldermen agenda marked another step in preparing the location for its new use. The owners are continuing renovations and accessibility improvements while developing the venue’s event offerings and social-media presence.

An exact opening date, regular operating schedule, and details about event bookings have not yet been announced. As the property begins welcoming guests, residents can expect to learn more about its available spaces, rental opportunities, and planned public events.

For downtown Warrenton, Six Point Manor represents another opportunity to bring activity into an existing commercial property and create a gathering place that can serve residents, community organizations, and visitors.

WCCRD appreciates Amanda and Rocky taking the time to share their plans and looks forward to following the development of Six Point Manor as the project progresses.
